As a Gift Packing Operative, you will be assembling gift packages, ensuring a high standard of quality presentation and attention to detail at all times. This is a rewarding role that has a real focus on the delivery of carefully packaged and distributed confectionery gifts.

Cadbury Gifts Direct and Green and Blacks Direct prides itself on offering a confectionery gifting service that enables customers to choose many different types and options of gifts, with or without messages, and enabling the gifts to be sent to various locations around the world. We set ourselves the high standards of presentation and quality, which our customers expect and sets us apart from our competitors.

MAIN DUTIES

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assembling gift packages, applying high standards of quality, presentation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to a fast pace without sacrificing quality and presentation standards.
  • Pro-actively communicate with colleagues and line leaders about issues e.g. stock items running low.
  • Ensuring hygiene and housekeeping standard are met and exceeded.
  • Responsible for your own health and safety and watching out for the health & safety of others.
  • You are responsible for your own PPE and the washing of it.
  • Flexibility around working hours, especially during our peak periods, Christmas and Easter, and commit to two Sunday shifts in the 6 weeks preceding Christmas as a minimum.
  • Filling out line paperwork.
  • Use of scanning system and scanning labels.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

What competencies and skills are required?

The ideal candidate would have:

  • GCSE’s in English and Maths at or above grade C/4 or equivalent.
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to keep calm in stressful situations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within organisations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time.
  • To be well organised and self-motivated.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Keen and willing to learn while developing new and existing skills.
